Baseless speculation anyone? I’m gonna be needlessly positive about a #1 that really doesn’t fit with this lineup but fuck it
REM - Rihanna - Florence & the Machine - 21 Pilots Martin Garrix - The 1975 - Alabama Shakes - Halsey
May have gotten a little too teenage white girl about some of these

Yeah I’m having a hard time coming up with rock bands to headline next year since so many logical ones played this year. I think another big pop headliner makes sense considering how well Bruno drew and the positive reviews of his set.

I know Eddie basically has a key to Wrigley Field now, but with a new album on the way it feels like maybe this is finally the year Pearl Jam comes back to Lolla.

Beyonce * The Black Keys * Florence + The Machine * Childish Gambino 21 Pilots * Tame Impala * The 1975 * EDM
Trying to make this as best case, but also Lolla demographics as possible. I thought about dropping a classic rock act in there, but I think we've seen the last of this fest being headlined by an old - or basically anyone active in the 60s/70s/maybe 80s

Aren’t 21 Pilots a south field headliner at this point ?

I don't know what other stage would fit all 21 of them.

Yes.
If we're guessing BK and Flo, those are two acts I can see being bumped down to North at this point.

Assuming their next record will be similarly huge, ofc. I think tBK are less likely to be bumped down than Flo, but idk if either are super probable.

Yes. If we're guessing BK and Flo, those are two acts I can see being bumped down to North at this point. I still think Lolla’s gonna put some rock acts on the south. I’m sure TBK booking agent would demand it.

This lineup sucks. I can't believe they seriously put them #1 and the under card is just so weak.
Have fun everyone. I'm sitting this year out.

21 Pilots will be on the South Stage.... If Justin Timberlake is doing any touring I would throw $$$ at him - he would attract all types like Bruno did. But given the dominance on the charts of Hip Hop/R&B and Country I would not be surprised if one of these years they get a country headliner... Aldean? Chesney? And they could go complete sell out and book Ed Sheeran

Chesney and Aldean are too big and just a total miss for the demographic.
Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood are all theoretical possibilities but I'd say Eric Church is the only one I'd put at a probability chance.

Not sure about that demographics wise... the bros love them some bro-country. Chris Stapleton would be interesting but maybe not headliner yet.
