I think they could probably sell a day out with a one-off by them. Lots of people would travel.

We're definitely due for a Foals return. New Order seems a little too recent, but I could see Cut/Copy making the trip. ?? New Order played in 2013. cut/copy played last in 2014, I think? Yup, I forgot New Order played Coachella in 17, not Lolla.

I'm re-watching Travis Scott's set from last year rn and oh boy has there ever been a fest come up as big as being arrested to the next time showing up and headlining on the release night of an album?

Based on his placement on other fest lineups I'm thinking Gessaffelstein is going to headline Perry's and hopefully I won't care much about the north and south stage headliners that night.

Lolla hasn't booked interesting electronic music on the undercard since, what, Modeselektor in 2011? I refuse to get my hopes up on this. Side note, there's someone on the Lolla sub-reddit claiming he has a friend at LN that told him there's a US festival exclusive in the Lolla top 4 this year. Potentially makes this week's line-up announcements a little more interesting.

Watch this be the only Kanye set of 2019

I find it difficult to think that Kanye would accept Lolla's stage if he wouldn't do Coachella's. I imagine Coachella has more flexibility on this as the Polo Grounds are much bigger/more open than the South field.

New Sleater Kinney album confirmed for this year, produced by St. Vincent. I'd imagine Pitchfork is the favorite to land them, but that would be an awesome set for Lolla.
I'd also love for them to finally give us the video board back at the Petrillo shell, and generally work on the sound there. It's been embarrassingly bad the past few years.

Foals is pretty much out with a festival in Europe the same weekend as Lolla. That's a bummer for me, I've always enjoyed their sets, had a blast in 2016 in the rain.

Bummer about Foals. Was really looking forward to the idea of a mid-afternoon main stage set.
21p at Boston Calling also takes another act off the list of potential "US festival exclusive" headliners

Right, but joeposh was talking about US Festival Exclusives, so I assumed tweet meant that.

Foos are already playing Sonic Temple. They wouldn't be an exclusive.

But, aren't they playing one of the Woodstocks? I thought we covered this. These three dates would seem to rule the Foos out of Woodstock. 13/08 Budapest, HU Sziget Festival 17/08 Glasgow, UK Summer Sessions 19/08 Belfast, UK Vital Festival

idc about woodstock - was only responding to tweet's apparent response that the Foos will be the US Fest exclusive at Lolla. They won't be exclusive, but could still be on the Lolla bill.
things I learned today: Stay out of the Lolla 2019 thread.
