A lot still seems to be up in the air, but IF Woodstock 50 goes forward as planned August 16-18th, I am curious to know how that impacts Lolla. My hope would be that it opens up some new headliner options, as some big names may be looking to get in a few US dates and give their festival act a try before that.

My hope would be that it opens up some new headliner options, as some big names may be looking to get in a few US dates and give their festival act a try before that. but might that also have a substantial effect on out-of-towners who'd go there instead of lolla? i feel like the US music fest competition for the last woodstock iterations were touring fests instead of established location fests. |

Yeah, there are a number of possible negatives for Lolla. Cutting into out of state attendance, as you mentioned, and possible exclusivity clauses being some the first that come to mind. Let's hope that pressure inspires C3/LN to really go all out next year and deliver a line-up that keeps people from second guessing. |
