I feel like D4N would book Jeff Lynne to do only Xanadu OST or something silly like that. If Jeff and Olivia did a Xanadu set then they could cancel every other fest ever

If there's no D4N then 2018 will be the first year that I didn't go to a music festival since I started going to music festivals.

A lot still seems to be up in the air, but IF Woodstock 50 goes forward as planned August 16-18th, I am curious to know how that impacts Lolla. My hope would be that it opens up some new headliner options, as some big names may be looking to get in a few US dates and give their festival act a try before that.

Yeah, there are a number of possible negatives for Lolla. Cutting into out of state attendance, as you mentioned, and possible exclusivity clauses being some the first that come to mind. Let's hope that pressure inspires C3/LN to really go all out next year and deliver a line-up that keeps people from second guessing.

I’d be a little surprised if Woodstock 50 ends up happening or if it does it won’t be as big as past versions.

Genesis as a #1 or #2 headliner would be great

Twenty One Pilots would also easily be a south stage headliner. They sell out every arena months in advance.

Black Keys don’t sound like they have anything in the works based on a rolling stone interview

I can probably get into this fest for free again next year, and not one of these headliner speculations is making me want to go

Has a Super Bowl halftime performer ever played Lolla in the same year? I'm going to go with no.

Did Bruno Mars play the Super Bowl? I'm almost certain I didn't watch it.
