She would be very on brand for Mamby or North Coast too. I don't see her headlining Lolla. she already played mamby right? not that she couldnt repeat but NCMF or Lolla seems like a fresher market for her

I think she could headline the North stage if this album does well. She'd be no smaller than The xx at that stage. But I think Pitchfork headliner is way more likely.

Her crowd definitely leans a little older than standard Lolla pop crowd, but it's her first album in 5 years, the Royksopp co-tour had crazy demand (and god knows that wasn't cause Royksopp), and you should never underestimate the gays.
Obvs could end up at P4k/NC/Whatever and could also def be a sub on the South Stage before a big headliner, but I don't think 8th headliner is out of the realm of possibility at all.

With rumors of Aphex Twin playing Coachella, if he were to come to Chicago would he headline Pitchfork or North Coast?

With rumors of Aphex Twin playing Coachella, if he were to come to Chicago would he headline Pitchfork or North Coast? i feel like aphex is an early rumor for coachella every year and it never happens so i wouldnt read much into it. and also he played Houston in 2016 with no other dates around it so there's no guarantee he'd stick around to tour or do another few one offs like Jamiroquai did this year

Aphex is definitely the pay me absolutely stupid amounts of money and I'll play one show and leave again for years type of guy.
MAYBE P4K would go ham and get him to headline one year, buuuuut I would never hold my breath for anything regarding Aphex playing in the US

As much as I doubt Lolla would book Robyn, they absolutely would NOT book Aphex. I can't even imagine a world in which Aphex would want to play Lolla. But in a world in which they did, he would for sure be a north stage headliner.

I’m probably one of the bigger Florence fans on the board and I would not pay $400 or whatever for this lineup

After Lollas great top 8 this year, are we going straight back to "no way headliners are good at this fest" again?

United Center seems like a reach compared to the size of most of the other venues. Chicago must be a big market for them.

What's interesting is you ever applying that word to that band.
