Hey guys, dude from last year here. I just wanted to extend a welcoming hand to all newcomers to this fine city many of us call home, and others call home but actually live in Wilmette or Rockford.
One thing a lot of tourists miss out on when they visit is a local liquer produced here on Chicago: Malort! Any decent Chicago bar will have it and you simply cannot leave Chicago without trying it. Some don't like it, but those individuals are always New Trier teenagers that don't understand the fine feminine notes of Carl Jeppson's Malort.
So make sure to grab a glass! It's a great way to start your day.

This fest doesn't care what wrist you put your wristband on anymore, does it? I remember they used to try to get people to do that in the flyers that accompanied the wristband, but I threw it out before reading the whole thing this year:p
(I feel like this is a reddit-level question, but I'm gon ask it anyways)

The number of people that will give a shit is tiny, but I was on-site tonight. The "double rank" of bag checks at the main gate that I mentioned earlier in the week does not appear to have materialized. Looks like the same number as always.
On the North end, however, there definitely is a separate rank of bag check booths South of the primary ones. How to get to them wasn't clear to me, but if you care, look for that option.
They are definitely doing tickets first near the bottom of the arc at the main gate and close to Monroe at the North gate with bag checks being done in the usual locations.

My flight is on about a 3 hour delay because the incoming plane from Chicago had a steering issue and had to be swapped out with another plane. It's nice to have a plane with a good steering wheel that doesn't fly off while driving.
Hoping to make it to the fest by like 4ish now.
