Yeah, I think we're gonna be very tempted by this. We do the Sapphire Reserve combined with Freedom Unlimited and Freedom regular game so the Southwest card hasn't really felt necessary.
But we fly them enough going home or for weekend visits to friend's cities that this would save us a lot of money I think.

booked Boston. Friday afternoon to Tuesday morning. Might be a little bit longer than I should based on feedback I'll take the risk of somehow being bored in a city for a little bit over feeling rushed and not able to truly enjoy it.

that was how long I was in Boston and it was ideal. I also couldn’t drink at the time so I’m sure you’ll find plenty to do

Forgot to mention the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, which you should prioritize over the ICA and possibly even over the MFA just because it's more unique. (All three are worthwhile)

Heading to Puerto Vallarta for eight days on Saturday. December was so rough at work, I can't wait to check out for a while. This was so much damn fun. I will never get tired of going there. Really really sucked coming back to this weather.

What happened with the bug tho I left it on its back. I found it like that and really didn't want to engage with it while drunk and [] at three in the morning. It got up on its own, I came down for breakfast the next morning and it was literally perched on a chair at the breakfast table waiting for me like dude wtf you just stared at me and posted me on instagram for half an hour and did nothing. It was chill at that point so we did some research and figured out it was an elephant rhinoceros beetle and is pretty much harmless to humans, but it was one of the most frightening things I've ever seen in the dead of night.

No but like after that Did you give him any breakfast or take him swimming We introduced him to our friends Mr. Broom and Mr. Dustpan and brought him out the door to the jungle. They're nocturnal I guess so it just let it happen without really moving. If I encountered that thing while drunk I would have just cried That's pretty much what happened. Taking a video while freaking out and constantly being ready to bolt if it happened to flip itself over (which it eventually did).

I looked up what a elephant rhinoceros beetle looked like and found out that they are used for gambling fights in Asia. Should have held onto it.

The beetle had some privacy concerns.

It was a story. I very very rarely make an actual post on my insta for reasons unknown to me.

I'm sure the conversation has been had a million times but if I was gonna be in Denver for like a day, where would be the best hotel / airbnb spot to get the most out of a free weekday in the city?
I will be at Red Rocks the night prior for The 1975 but work-depending I will probably have no free time that night. Planning to rent a car and drive back and forth from Denver as I can't imagine that'd be more expensive than cabs.

It depends on what you want to do. If you want to hit up some art museums, Baker is a good spot. If you're more interested in nightlife/bars/restaurants, Lo-Hi, The Highlands or River North are good options.

Baker is a really cool neighborhood that has access to a ton of stuff. I don't really know what Chicago neighborhood I'd compare it to - maybe Logan Square?
Anyway there's a ton of good options in terms of neighborhoods, but there's a couple that I'd tend to avoid. Airbnbs and hotels both define Cherry Creek well beyond it's boundaries when listing neighborhood descriptions and the neighborhood itself is basically a giant expensive mall. LoDo is the area around the ballpark and attracts a really shitty crowd most nights of the week.

Thank you for all of this!
Aside from the general horror of renting a cheap car anywhere, what makes Denver so awful @wretched ?
Me and the guy I'm with will almost certainly be prioritizing breweries and other places to eat some amazing food. As many meals and beers as we can get in.

If you're interested in breweries, River North has the best stretch in the city. You could make a brewery walking tour featuring: Odell, Great Divide, Our Mutual Friend, Ratio, Epic, Crooked Stave, Black Shirt, New Belgium and others rather easily.

Plus there's some incredible food on that same stretch.

see this is what happens when you go full social media blackout i took eric to denver to see FJM/TVotR for his birthday. the very long story short is we stayed in amazing airbnb in baker and it was great and all -- but the rental car was supposed to be a toyota rav4 and when we got there, they said they had overbooked everything. so we got this parking it anywhere was a fucking treat. and when we got to RR we could've probably gone in with the staff or crew

Be very careful where you place Crooked Stave in the order if you do this day. Not that I speak from experience or anything.
