anyone mention southwest's first 2 checked bags being free? This is huuuuuuuuuuuuge. As a tall person it's hard for me to pack for any trip in a carry on if I need to bring more than one extra pair of shoes and/or a suit. I check my bag all the damn time. Also, my credit card lets me move points to a ton of airline groups and Southwest gives me far and away the best bang for my buck per point out of those. I almost exclusively fly Southwest unless I'm going international.

I usually just peek over their shoulder but have no shame in asking. There's been a few times it's someone in a totally different boarding group and I'm like oh hell no nice try buddy I’m just imagining the idea of looking over someone’s shoulder and being like “fuck off to the c group shithead” with no prior conversation Don't think I wouldn't! But for real I would just stand in front of them. A person who doesn't know how to board is definitely going to put their carryon up the wrong way the first eight tries

Unless there’s an empty seat behind me I don’t ever recline

I don't after takeoff but I do recline. Is it considered rude to recline? Like the seats were made with that feature.

Unless there’s an empty seat behind me I don’t ever recline My man. The marginal benefit you get from it is nowhere close to the annoyance you inflict on the person behind you.

So if you fly Southwest with Neader, he wants to box you out in the queue line like he's Charles Barkley in the paint and then proceeds to grab the seat in front of you just to recline right into your kneecaps. Awesome.

Yeah it's impossible to recline your seat and not be an absolute dick about it.

Let’s first tackle the question of reclining seats. Of 858 respondents, 16 percent always recline, 20 percent usually do, 14 percent recline about half the time, 30 percent do only once in a while, and 20 percent never recline.
This is a remarkably even split. Half of respondents recline half the time or more, half of respondents do it once in a while or never. So, we’re at a bit of an impasse here. Only 41 percent of respondents thought it was very or somewhat rude to recline your seat during a flight.
Most people (70 percent) said they would not eliminate the option to recline seats on flights. But most people (64 percent) also said passengers should not recline if the flier behind them asks them not to. The rest of them said a passenger has no obligation to the person behind them.

last flight i was on my knees were right up on the seat in front, and the woman attempted to recline her seat a good 10 or 11 times before i said "what the fuck", she turned around and saw my extreme anger, and stopped
