i bought 2 tix for depeche mode in tulsa, then a few hours later found 2 better ones and bought those too, thinking i could sell the first pair and at least just get my money back.
grrr. so now it's on groupon for super cheap, and none of my friends want to go, so i'm thinking of all the times i've gotten free or cheap tix, and may just end up gifting them to someone.

If you're in a similar situation in the future and have the time to hold for a Ticketmaster agent, call them and request an exchange. They'll do a one-time exchange if you're upgrading to better seats for the same price or better seats that are more expensive. In addition to paying any difference in ticket price, they usually charge a change fee ($5 or $10 per ticket, if I remember correctly). I did this for Metallica and U2 last summer and it worked beautifully. The only downside is that you have to do it over the phone and I've waited 20-30 minutes to connect to a person.

i did get on chat with an agent later that day, but it was during the verified fan "presale" (which i didn't think was an actual presale?) and they said they couldn't do any exchanges until the general onsale started and only if the better seats were still available (which i knew they wouldn't be).
somewhat aggravating, but oh well. more aggravating to see it end up on groupon and them have lower level for what i paid for upper level. but at least i'm front row upper level, and my wife won't have anyone in her way, so that's a bonus!

I have two tickets to the Chicago Fire vs LA Galaxy game next Saturday (4/14) @ Toyota Park (game time 230pm). Section 109 so premium seats.

There's a good chance I have an extra David Byrne ticket for the show on June 2nd. 12th row dead center. It wasn't cheap but it's one of the best seats in the house. Was anyone trying to go who didn't get some sort of ticket?

my SK tickets are down to $140 but's like another $70 in service and shipping charges

Srsly tho, StubHub has got to be making buttloads of cash by charging service fees on both ends of the transaction. Plus they haven't updated their platform in forever. There is a feature where you can select "Show prices with estimated fees" which helps, but you have to select it every time you browse an event. |
