They’ve been pretty consistently ranked as one of the best breweries in the country, so definitely try to take advantage if you can

I picked this up yesterday and wow this really does taste like a Rice Krispie Treat. maplewood consistently nails the flavor they are going for

Hell yeah liquor stores can now sell until 11pm.
I think I drank more with the 9pm cutoff since I would mindlessly pick stuff up early "just to be safe"

We’re about three weeks away from the anniversary of Denver residents making a run on liquor stores when it was initially announced they were not an essential service.
I bought three 12 packs and a few bottles of wine and that wouldn’t even have made it through a month.

Went to the new Marz location next to Margie's Candies. Really great spot.
Super small though and reduced seating because of Covid, so you're limited to an hour to get people in and out. Finished off the night at West on North which I really missed. Felt great to bounce between bars like old times.

i stopped by the new marz on friday and picked up cans of tropical freak sour ale which is really good. i felt fairly uncomfortable just being in there for a few minutes, tho. it's so small, and since everyone is at their tables it's basically just a small room full of people without masks.

This is fun:
Half Acre to sell Lincoln Avenue brewery to upstart Hop Butcher for the World, which gets its first home after years of quiet growth

Hell yeah. I remember when Hop Butcher used to brew off of Wolcott when Aquanaut Brewery was sharing their space.

The little bottle shop in our neighborhood gets some Hop Butcher once in a while (along with Half Acre, Pipeworks and Off Color). Solid stuff.

Not technically a beer, but the new Topo Chico Hard Seltzers are going to be my go-to summer drink. That Strawberry-Guava flavor in particular

I tried the Sixpoint Party Popper hard seltzers and I think they’re just okay. But I also don’t have much to compare them against, having had maybe three hard seltzers over the past four years or so.

the lemon lime tastes like vanilla to me which is not a good taste when you're expecting citrus.

Went to Une Anee this afternoon for the first time. Great sours and good Pilsner and Wit. Great barbecue as well. Really cool outdoor patio with picnic tables under canopies. Will be back.

I asked this awhile back and I believe wretched had some good recommendations, but now I'll have a car so wanted to see if y'all could help again:
My parents and brother are picking me up from O'hare next Friday before I head into the city so we can grab a late lunch. What are good spots nearby in terms of beer and food? I think Mikerphone is nearby but food trucks don't generally show up at breweries until 4 or something, so that doesn't seem like a great option.

I second Old Irving.
Also, Une Anee/Hubbard's Cave has good barbecue and some really good beer, especially if you like sours. It is a bit further north and west of Old Irving, but might be worth the extra drive if you have any interest.

Thank you, guys. I'm going to suggest we meet up at either Old Irving or Hubbard's Cave. Always assumed Hubbard's Cave was in the city, so that's a pleasant surprise.

Soooo my parents do not want to come into the city on a Friday and risk sitting on a train after dark because of all of the crime (my mom watches A LOT of news), so I am now seeing them on Sunday. I am still planning on going to Old Irving, though. If anyone is in the area around 4 pm and wants to say hi, come on by.

If I’m reading this correctly, you will be at OIB on Friday, July 16 around 4 pm? I can’t imagine the disappointment and regret if I did not join you on such an occasion.
