Deadline to accept the QO is 4pm (central) today, so I expect we'll get a little movement.

3/40 on the Smith Braves deal.

Totally content letting Abreu go year to year at this point. The White Sox offered him a three year deal but safe to assume it would have been a much lower AAV.

I have no problem with it either. If they work out a multi-year deal that makes sense during the season, I'm cool with that, too.

Trout and Bellinger are MVPs, no big surprise.

So.... now that it seems that:
1.) The Astros cheated to win the title throughout 2017 2.) They continued cheating in some capacity throughout 2018-2019 3.) This cheating was conducted systematically from the top to bottom of the organization, including executives, coaches, players, and scouts 4.) It encompassed multiple forms (trash cans, whistles, now "buzzing bandages") 5.) The MLB seems to have known about it and at least let it slide, perhaps covered it up a lil bit
How do we proceed?
I'm of the opinion that all management and executives involved need to be hit with a lifetime ban. This includes Luhnow and Hinch, and could possibly extend to any other coaches with direct involvement in orchestrating this system (i.e. Beltran or Cora). I'm not sure what to do about the players - but if this keeps getting worse, I could see hitting them with lengthy suspensions too. And of course this should also include hella fines and draft pick losses.
But also, as this keeps getting worse, I've been leaning further on the side of: 1.) The 2017 title should be vacated; 2.) Crane should have to sell the team; 3.) If Manfred helped to sweep this under the rug, he needs to go.
What do y'all think?

I think a lifetime ban for Lunhow/Hinch is appropriate.
I could see MLB banning the players involved for this entire season and then devastate the franchise by taking away their 1st round picks and drastically reducing the bonus pool for like 5 years.

The title should absolutely be vacated.

I can't see MLB vacating the 2017 title. Fines, loss of draft picks, suspensions etc is more realistic.

This tells us that 1.) the MLB knew there was something afoot, but 2.) they tried to get them to stop without an public acknowledgement of the Astros' wrongdoings This alone, IMO, is not enough to warrant Manfred's removal, but it is a very worrisome signal that the league office knew exactly what was going on and may have moved to cover it up. If this was true and I was a rival owner, I'd be livid at Manfred and searching for his successor.
