Ah, the true reason why you started this thread I usually like to start it when there's something to announce. Usually Blues Fest is first, but Taste of Joliet jumped the gun this year.

A quick glance at the above listed sites leads me to believe a number of street festivals from last year are either being dropped, or have separated from Star Events/Chicago events. Has the street festival bubble finally burst?

Star Events looks like they're giving on up Live on Lincoln (re-branded last year to Live in Lincoln Park).
The major omissions from Chicago Events are Sheffield Garden Walk & Taste of Lincoln Ave. They also don't list that Roscoe Village Bourbon and BBQ fest, Lincoln Park Wine Fest, and the Ciders & Sliders fest they debuted last year.

Star Events looks like they're giving on up Live on Lincoln (re-branded last year to Live in Lincoln Park). That's a bummer but not surprising. That could be an excellent little fest with the location they got, but they can't charge what they did and have 1 set of Mike Gordon headline.

Will any of these actually be good this year?

I'm still confident fests like Taste of Randolph, Do Division, Wicker Park Fest, and West Fest will produce quality lineups.

Swindell is trash, and have no plans ever to see him, but McCreery was surprising good last yr at a radio station promo show at a bar on clark (don't remember which one actually -- maybe barleycorn) for Wrigley opening day. He threw in a bunch of covers of old country, and is one of the better of the newish country acts (although there isn't much competition, because most newish country isn't very good or very country).

Ribfest has managed to snag a bunch of artists before they blew up. I remember Jason Isbell and X Ambassadors (although it might have been when they were still just Ambassadors) have played as well.

Sheffield Garden Walk 2019 News!
We have some exciting news to share regarding our Sheffield Garden Walk & Music Festival. After much internal board research and study, SNA has decided to take our 51st Sheffield Garden Walk into a new, fresh and exciting direction.
We hired a new event management company who has fresh ideas and matches more closely the vision our board has for our biggest fundraising event of our association.
We met with them at a kickoff meeting on Friday and we are very excited about this new direction, new food and yes, new music our new festival will bring to our community.
Yes it will be in the same location, yes there will be better music, yes there will be better food and yes there will be a better family area all of which we promise will be a better experience than we have been bringing our community in recent years.
Stay tuned for more information and mark your calendars for July 19th through 21st. The newly branded festival experience will be revealed sometime in March. We cannot wait!

Sheffield Garden Walk has traditionally booked original artists, hopefully that part remains the same.

Chicago Events added a number of fests to their calendar. These include Taste of Lincoln Ave and a new fest called Pride in the Park, which will feature national acts performing in Grant Park at the Petrillo.
