Think I’ll buy a ticket for Courtney and maybe do De La Soul in the lawn. I'm planning on buying a ticket for Courtney as well, but I'm going to wait until closer to the show. They've been offering discounted tickets in the days leading up to the Taste the last few years. Okay I might change my approach on this, as the Taste has changed theirs. Currently GA tickets are priced at a very reasonable $15, with the caveat that they will go UP on June 1st.

Are there any good fests the weekend of June 14-16? Taste of Randolph and Ribfest are both that weekend, but I'm not impressed with either lineup

Might grab a premium pair for Courtney. $40 all in is pretty good for her to guarantee being up front.

Pulled the trigger on Courtney, if they sell $10 tickets later I'm fine with that.

Are there any good fests the weekend of June 14-16? There are no good fests at al this year. To actually answer the question, taste of Randolph is that weekend. I can’t remember who is playing which is probably not a good sign Edit: like I can read

Looks like Real Estate and Cults on Sunday, but I'm going to try to take my dad to the Sox game that day, so that wouldn't work. Oh well.

What is GA at the Taste?

For the Taste shows, they put chairs almost the whole way on that blacktop in front of the Petrillo stage. So I think the GA would be pretty much most of that section, but I think you have to pay more for the closest seats

Another benefit of buying seats that is worth mentioning, you can bypass the entire Taste crowd by entering straight through Butler Field. And there are no lines to buy drinks once inside.

I mentioned a few weeks back, last year they had a dedicated entrance to the field on Monroe, so that you don't have to step foot in the fest at all.

Thanks guys. Not sure it's worth $40 but $15 isn't bad.

Naperville Ribfest added their final headliner, Bad Company on July 6th. They've also added openers for the other shows, including Living Colour opening for the Billy Idol date.

Sheffield Garden Walk is rebranding to Sheffield Street Festival. Looks like they're getting ready to announce their lineup as well.

i liked naperville the handful of times i've been there. they had a quaint downtown area. my brother used to live in downers grove, so we'd go to naperville to eat lou malnati's and shop around.

Yeah, that's a good show. I'm not going to Naperville for it though. Naperville isn't that bad. It's gotten better over the past couple of years.
