Anyone else notice the price of the Aphex Twin record from Day for Night? Sitting at $225 right now. I still haven’t spun my copy. Thinking about shipping it because I like to listen to Aphex Twin records but don’t collect him.

Harry McDrunkbeard came in the store today and proceeded to fall against our giant neon sign. He then fell into the DVDs. They went flying and he fell to the floor with them. Old Harry absolutely destroyed the neon sign. Police were called. Harry was taken to a hospital to dry out, and we were told to contact our insurance company. Apparently, ol' Harry won't have to pay us a dime, since it was an accident. We haven't talked to the insurance company yet, but we have a pretty high deductible, so it is still going to come out of our pocket, one way or the other. Our neon sign is going to be a mess until after Record Store Day, but try and understand. And Mr. McDrunkbeard gets to dry out, clean up, and live to celebrate another St. Puketricks day unmarked by so little as a ticket.

Twenty years ago a band came out of seemingly nowhere to deliver a record that "filled a deep-seated need listeners didn’t even know they had" (Pitchfork Best Albums of the 00s). The band was Sigur Rós and the record Ágætis byrjun, and to mark its 20th birthday this June, the band will release a definitive boxset of this, their breakthrough album.
The lavishly packaged, limited edition, seven vinyl album set will include early versions and demos of the songs on the record, as well as never before songs that for the first time draw a line back to early influences which would soon become undetectable in the rootless beauty of the finished article.
There is also an immaculate recording of the concert the band played at the Íslenska Óperan (Icelandic Opera House) on June 12, 1999 to celebrate the release of record that would soon send them around the world on word-of-mouth; a pre-internet phenomenon.

Going through some more of my stuff and can't believe the value on some of these.
Chrome Sparks - Sparks EP goes for $125
Deadmau5 - 4x4=12, possibly the worst album to own on vinyl, goes for $60
MM LCW OP value tanked after the repressing, down to $200 from around $1000 -- don't understand this? would think collectors still value the OP?
What a bizarre hobby.
