The ideas that this fest is a nostalgia cash-in and that some of these bands are still good are not mutually exclusive.
That said, I love a good nostalgia cash-grab and would totally go to this if it was in NY.

Is it weird that of all the acts at Bottlerock, I am most psyched to see Chevy Metal? It is weird. Right? I was gonna list a bunch of acts you should check out because normally old people festivals have some good stuff but this is literally a festival headlined by neil young and now u r cancelled sorry bb check out anderson east, midland. war and treaty, liz cooper, slothrust (all on friday basically lol what a weird ass festival) |

Midland would be cool. I really don't care for Liz Cooper's voice. And Anderson East is all right, I suppose. Gonna be lots of casual listening while drinking at this fest. And Chevy Metal will be a fun drunken sing along. |

Booked a hotel for Desert Daze. Might buy a ticket soon before the price goes up but I'm a little scared to full commit until I see the lineup. But Stereolab is a great start
