I guess Chevy Metal is continuing without Taylor? Okay... Haven't seen Miike Snow in ages either dave grohl, chad smith, and shane hawkins did a "chevy metal" set in his honor recently, I'm sure it will be a tribute to him in some way If not pretty funny that they billed the gd tower of power 4 acts above a van halen cover band |

In addition Queens of the Stone Age, St. Vincent, The Offspring, My Morning Jacket, Nelly, Mike Snow, Cold War Kids, Action Bronson, Gogol Bordello, Tower of Power, Stephen Marley, Talib Kweli, The Record Company, Pete Yorn, Dehd, Bully trapper kept. this would be sponsored by WXRT if it was local. Lmaoo - as a similar vibe I was gonna say this festival features several bands that I've seen at the BMI stage at Lolla and promptly never thought about again (Colony House, Con Brio, Mondo Cozmo). |

My philosophy is I can't complain about Gen-Z music unless I've actually given it an honest chance.
So I listened to Renee Rapp yesterday since she's popping up on all these lineups. Didn't realize she was from Sex Lives of College Girls + is playing Regina in the new (terrible looking) Mean Girls musical movie. Unfortunately, her singles were like focus grouped Olivia Rodrigo knock-offs minus the interesting pop-punk angle. Snooze.
Maybe today I'll see who Jessie Murph and Dominic Fike are, since they're everywhere now too.

Hangout is bad but Zach Bryan is headlining it, Tyler Childers is headlining Boston Calling... Could be a good trend for 2024 that mainstream music festivals have added major country stars to their pool of plausible bookings.
