I forgot how to upload an image from FB on mobile but there's a new fest in Las Vegas, Oct 11-13 called Best Friends Forever. Headlined by Bright Eyes, Sunny Day Real Estate, and Cap'n Jazz but a solid middle card with the Jesus Lizard, Unwound, Karate, the friggin Dismemberment Plan's first show in almost a decade, Built to Spill, Pinback, American Baseball, and a bunch more.

Yeah you were not kidding, that is a great lineup. And not all crammed into one day as usual!

That lineup is actually nuts but Vegas feels like such a weird place for that theme

… is Cap’n Jazz that big now or did Bright Eyes get that small?

Do we actually think this will sell out quickly? Or will there likely be time to wait and see what other fests have?

I know almost nothing about emo, but it's funny to me that Cap'n Jazz is headlining and American Football is on the third line. Assuming this is a #rare bump or something?

Was curious and just pulled this from the venue's website: "Venue capacity is 2500 but can scale up to 11000 when needed" So... maybe?

Jesus Lizard not being a one-off is my favorite part of that new festival announcement. Thought Goldenvoice might have just thrown a ton of money at them. Praying for club shows somewhere.

The Cap’n Jazz and Dismemberment Plan’s appearances at BFF are being billed as “first announced” shows. So, feel like they are likely for RF.

Festivals announcing they're taking the year off is the equivalent of a restaurant putting up a "closed for repairs" sign. They're dunzo.

Festivals announcing they're taking the year off is the equivalent of a restaurant putting up a "closed for repairs" sign. They're dumzo. They implied some uncertainty as to when they would be returning, saying they'd be "back when the time is right". So it may be more than a year off.
