I couldn't resist the $40 early bird passes for Boulevardia (a KC Boulevard Beer music fest in June). No line-up announcement, but the #1 headliner last year was Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. Hoping for something comparable this year. Overall, their line-ups are very pedestrian (their favorites are Dashboard Confessional and Fitz and the Tantrums) and full of local bands. But, I think I can get $40 of entertainment over the two days.

That might be okay since neither are in my trapper keeper. Most likely it will be a few bands that end up somewhere in the middle of a Lolla lineup. Not going to hold my breath for any unrealistic expectations.

I can't say it's not tempting to maybe fly to Philly (never been!) or NYC and do Friday and Saturday around there then Sunday at this fest. I did want to see Bruce one more time this year
edit- on that Friday I got PJ Harvey in Phlly or National/War on Drugs at Forrest Hills. Solid options
