Both Outside Lands and Ohana are better than anything a Chicago fest has put out this year.

Might just gotta suck it up and travel out west for a Grace Jones show soon since she doesn't seem to come east at all

Daily breakdown for Newport Jazz. Man I'm real tempted to grab a day pass for Saturday or Sunday, maybe even both? Elvis Costello / Stanley Clarke / Calvin Keys is a wild trio of artists I still need to see. But Sunday is stacked with so much quality that it'd be hard not to do both. Ahhhh

Edit: I googled Calvin Keys and it seems he died last week?!  How tf did Newport still print him on this lineup?

It'll probably be worth it but it's the first year the fest has happened right? Not sure I'd buy blind without any prior reference points to go off.

Agreed. Assuming Sierra is playing that's easily worth $50 but not sure I'd go in for the whole weekend just yet.

I mean, it is run by Space/the people who did Out of Space and those other outdoor shows the last few years, so those are pretty good reference points

From the FAQ seems like the fest is til 8:30 and than shows at Space/Cahn Auditorium after so it’s a lil unclear if the bigger acts are just playing Cahn or the park or what.

Cahn is like 1000 cap as well so that gives some guidance. I'd imagine the headliners could do both a headlining set and festival set (if Sierra is our only measuring stick she could easily draw enough for both).
