Yeah that's actually kinda disappointing. No Happiness is a Butterfly or the Next Great American Record is SAD!

She hasn’t played Next Great American Record yet I believe. She did Happiness is a Butterfly once but it was just a segment and she did it a cappella.

Shame. The highlights of a phenomenal album.

bummer of a setlist. few songs shorter than the tour a month ago and still without some of the best rockwell songs. obviously seeing video games and venice bitch at aragon would be awesome tho.

Yeah I'd be a bit disappointed with that too. I don't really get putting out a super critically acclaimed record and playing less than half of it unless you are like a legacy act

Apparently a lot of fans are upset that she’s playing so many new album tracks and are requesting more honeymoon songs which is kinda confusing to me. I wonder if she has an aversion to playing sets longer than 80 minutes? that’s the longest I’ve ever seen her play. Regardless, for a setlist of this length I’m just happy she’s keeping Ride and Cherry, and while I would like her to play all of Norman Fucking Rockwell from start to finish I do love the songs she’s kept in.

A lot of danger days but it's bad A good amount of Three Cheers and Black Parade. I didn't think theyd play that much off of Three Cheers so I'm happy.

i meant it's NOT bad. If they replaced a couple of the other danger days songs with sing and then put like headfirst for halos and one more three cheers song instead it would be incredible

That's pretty much what I expected that setlist to look like. I'm guessing they'll mix it up a little but they should be playing all the singles every night on a reunion tour.

Setlist is not great. Who the fuck needs any Danger Days songs, and doubly so why would you need more Danger Days songs than Three Cheers.
And even the Black Parade choices seem weird, the opening trio on the album of Dead / Disappear / Sharpest Lives are strong tracks, especially live, and this ain't got any of them.
Our Lady of Sorrows is my only thing I'm surprised/glad to see, and they'll probably drop that at most their shows, so meh.
Also the dad vibes on Gerard are pretty remarkable in these pics.
IDK I'VE GOT THOUGHTS.

I unabashedly love the Danger Days single ‘Planetary (GO!)’ so of course they play every other dumb song of this stupid album.

That song is the only song on that album I particularly like and always looked super fun as a live song and it's like they played almost every song on the album but that one lol. That was a single too so idgi Edit- I looked back at this album and it's way longer than I realized why is it like 15 songs

this is from the only time i saw REM - 25 years ago today. my immediate recollection was not loving the setlist, probably because it was light on Automatic For the People and i didn't click with the new songs that'd end up on New Adventures. but i would take this setlist any day now.

A bit odd you didn't get Drive or Try Not to Breathe. I got both of those when I saw them in '95.

i loved that 95 tour but even more because radiohead opened and the arena was maybe a quarter full for them and they would say "thank you we're called radiohead" in between every other song.

A bit odd you didn't get Drive or Try Not to Breathe. I got both of those when I saw them in '95. this was the middle of the 3 shows in philly. the night before and after both got "drive" and "orange crush." "try not to breathe" was only at the first show. in hindsight, they mixed it up pretty well.

Well I saw them in Kansas City (night 1) in May, and then in St. Louis in September (night 2) and we got both songs. Seems crazy that this band was so huge for a moment they were playing multiple nights in amphitheaters.

Looking at the tour stats there were about a dozen songs they played every night and then they mixed up the rest.

What's your favorite setlist you've ever gotten at a show? I want to revive this thread a bit
