i've seen him in '12, '14, and '15 at small venues (cain's in tulsa twice which is one of his favorites venues) and they were all fantastic performances.

i'd take drunk jack performing anything over sober jack doing "just one drink" every time.

That's a nice set. Wish he would play blue orchid more

He was all over Lilly Mae for most of the night though. she's a better musician than he is, and they're roughly equal on songwriting. plus, she has the best punk-ish haircut since Wendy O. Williams and the Plasmatics. #teamlilliemae

Pretty sure Jack had a mandate that everyone needed to look like they had just come from a Tim Burton film. I didn't hate that look on Lilly though...

looks like he debuted Same Boy You've Always Known last night here in KC. One of my favorite Stripes songs. Not sure how it turned out but here's how it sounded in 2012

Seems like an ideal set to watch the first ~30-40 minutes of before heading over to the Grove. Only thing that might get me to stay the whole time is if "A Certain Romance" starts making appearances on these setlists.

There are some shitty YouTube clips of them playing the new songs if you want to confirm your preconceptions.

Man I'm sure the sets later in the tour will have more new stuff but I hope they keep the Afternoon>Brianstorm opener the whole tour

At their tour opener last night in OKC, U2 played 'Acrobat' and 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses'.
Arctic Monkeys are boring.

Avoiding all setlist spoilers for that show beyond that post. I knew they were rehearsing them, but still in shock that Acrobat had its live debut.
Seeing them 5/19 in Omaha.

yeah, hearing acrobat was really cool. even the people around me in the upper deck knew what it was, which was kind of surprising.

I think I still have an extra for that if anyone wants it.

But since the album will be good is that really a bad thing? just mean there's a good selection of old songs in addition to the new album

Yeah, as someone who has never seen her I'm very happy she's playing the hits. I was a little concerned that it would pretty much be the new album and maybe one or two other cuts.

i looked at that this morning, basically what you expect since she always does almost all of whatever album she's touring.
charli's setlist pretty much sucked. guess she still feels the need to do the old shit.

Not including Clean, her best song, is an absolute fucking travesty. Also I guess the old taylor really is dead. Playing nothing from before Red is absolutely brutal.

Unfortunately that Charli set is nearly identical to the one she did opening the Halsey tour last year. Really need her to play a normal non-fest/tour opener set around here some time soon.

There are multiple songs from Fearless and one from Speak Now in there. Also woof I didn't know that Bad Things song was Camila Cabello that song is baaaaaad.

Unlock It is a really weird choice for Charli to do out of all the Pop 2 material. surrpised she didn't do track 10 since even she agrees it's her best song.
