Much better than Ye. Kinda weird with the Jesus lyrics, but production and flow is great. One song didn't do it for me at all.
Curious to see what critics think

It’s interesting because Selah is a top tier Kanye track and its somehow on the same album as Closed on Sunday which is like a youth group leader parody of a Kanye song

I gave it a spin out of curiosity. Some decent beats, but the lyrics did nothing for me.

Getting the mental image of Kanye compiling a list of everyone who has to review this record, calling them, and requesting that they don’t fuck at any point during the period of time that they’re writing the review

I love that my Spotify followed up "Jesus is Lord" with "Devil in a New Dress." Really brought the experience full circle.

Yea the first 3 tracks (tho the first is real just an intro) has me actually interested and somewhat hooked. Then the rest of the album just sorta happened for the next 20 minutes and were kinda boring? Nothing I haven’t heard from him before - and nothing he hasn’t already done better.

Like.... it’s a little better than Ye, an album that I listened to maybe 3 times the week it came out and haven’t returned to since. I expect this one to suffer a similar fate.

Sorry but as an atheist Ye is better. At least the only fantasy it was being produced from was his own delusion. This is just propaganda.

Still at work and Ye is still his worst but do not forget the gem that is Ghost Town.

This is a bad album. Ye was his weakest but I don't think it was a bad album. This is a bad album

Y'all need to go back and listen to Ye because this album is fucking trash lmao Yea I couldn't even make it through a second listen. Got bored and listened to the new (actually excellent) Anna Meredith instead. Gonna re-visit Ye tomorrow and I suspect I'll end up on yours and Tim's side of this ranking.

Ye is by no means excellent but as I said Ghost Town is phenomenal and Yikes is one of the most real pieces of music he's made in years that explains his current mental state.

Ye gets shit on a lot, and for good reason. After how brilliant his output has been, its just a tragic misstep.
This tho? Is a purposeful failure. No doubt made to become fodder for sympathy and controversy. Waste of talent.

This is bad. Fully expected him to rap the Our Father.
Production is good, so he still has that going for him.

Sister Rosetta Tharpe, ftw In regards to this album, the first three songs after the intro and the last song before the outro were cool production-wise, but the rest was either bad or *shrug*. Prob won't revisit this much.
