I'm regretting not giving The Lonesome Crowded West a top 100 spot. At least this project made me give it another spin.

Holy shit I just realized I omitted Destination Failure. God damnit, that would have been top 50 for me for sure. Really disappointed in myself.

Putting it on the record now that Destination Failure should be 33 on my list. I don't think it makes a difference though, I don't think it was on anyone else's list.

Everyone moves down a spot except Toadies and Gin Blossoms, 3EB gets bumped entirely because Stephan Jenkins is a jackass. My apologies to Kevin Cadogan and Michael Urbano. I realize I'm talking to myself right now.

I played with the data enough to know offhand that one person bumping Third Eye Blind would have made the tie for last-place between Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen Metallica - Black Album Moby - Play

Thank you for putting this together, it's been a fun trip down memory lane, and good for me expanding my horizons a bit as well. Thanks again!

No worries, it’s just funny you mentioned Third Eye Blind being the one to be cut. The 3-way tie I mentioned was how the list looked when I initially sorted it, but realized I’d miscounted one vote for that Third Eye Blind album.
I’ve had so much fun digging back through the decade that it’s almosr been hard to snap back to new music. I genuinely thank everyone who’s played along. Most of my all-time favorite albums are from this decade.

It took some serious effort to create a list I was good with, and even then I'm still second guessing over and over again. What a fun exercise.

There was some amazing hip hop released in the 90s, but don't snooze on all the amazing metal and punk that came out as well. I hope someone discovered Descendents offshoot ALL from my list. They have some quality stuff.
