Jimmy’s 3-point play was awesome too.
Not awesome was the call that sent it into OT in the first place.

If it’s Celtics Lakers this moment of time really is just a repeat of the Reagan years

Has a team ever come back from 3-1 twice in the same season ?
Because this is wild

The Clippers coaching staff seems very polite.

They do. That was the most pleasant after series exchange I’ve seen.

And they also won three NBA titles. This a bigger choke than the 2016 finals imo

I fell asleep. I'm pleased with a Denver win. Sad for Kemba. He will never get past the Heat.

He's a pud but he's been spot on with the coaching search so far. Getting the same intel as the ESPN guys

It's good the Bulls were able to attract a veteran coach who was in demand. I like it.

I like the hire too but I would have preferred one of the first time coaches that have been mentioned the last several weeks. Just to provide more flexibility if there's another teardown coming.
I don't think anyone on this team can be a top 3 guy on a really great team, and I think the new regime will want to reset sooner rather than later.

Definitely think there will be a trade of someone, but not sure who it would be

Yeah I think it's an awkward fit for that reason. Even if the Bulls are much more likely to make the playoffs the next year or two than the (presumably) rebuilding Thunder, I don't think AK will want to build around a 45-win core in 2022 that he didn't construct. So I guess it's possible that the pitch was "we'll be a playoff team for the next couple of years but we have the assets and flexibility to avoid a complete reset if this core doesn't work out".
I could see why Donovan chose the Bulls over OKC if he just didn't want to lead a tank job, but it seems like there were/will be better jobs than the Bulls if he wanted to coach a potential contender.

Porter becomes a free agent after next season, so that's a nice chunk of money becoming available. They'll finally have some flexibility. Would not be surprised if he gets dealt before then. Markannen could be traded if the Bulls end up drafting a big man - I think there's still enough intrigue that he can be a good player, especially with how Boylen misused him. The Athletic has Wiseman possibly dropping to 4.
Anyway, I'd bet the sell was that the Bulls are going to retool rather than rebuild versus the Thunder likely tearing down the team. There's a pretty big difference.
