I don't understand who this is speaking to. I really don't.
Definitely not to people who follow music (aka us) Definitely not the hippies (aka the original audience) Definitely not the young people with that top line Definitely not people who live in a city because that top 6 is extremely not rare.

Honestly a much more enjoyable Roo than in recent years. Although, even when the undercard suffered, Roo delivered on the headliners. In a year they went back to some unique and odd bookings, they totally missed on headliners.
Enough on there I would consider going again (and I think I’d enjoy a full day here more than I would at Coachella.
Lots of non-dj acts that would get me dancing (Old Crow, Trombone Shorty, Grand Ole Opry, Anderson paak, Chic, Thundercat).
Really misses the garage rock/punk in the lower lines that I usuallly love at fests.

Yeah I just looked at last year and this is much worse. 2015 is still bottom of the barrel tho.

Picture how bad this would be mocked if it was a Lolla lineup with that top 5 - which is really so Lolla. I think people are forgiving because there are some red meat acts for the core Roo faithful, but this fest isn't aiming that high anymore.

If Lolla had a top 8 anything like this, we would be declaring it the worst lineup they've ever had. I just can't get over how lazy that top 3 is ... there isn't even an attempt to have anything interesting there. Obviously a lineup is made by the undercard, but I still expect some attempt at a unique headliner or two.

I am missing the hate for this lineup.
While the top 3 lines do not deliver (lines 2 to 3 used to be where Roo stood out thanks to late night headliner-quality sets), the rest of the lineup is very traditional Bonnaroo. The undercard has world, funk, jam, jazz, soul, country, bluegrass, etc. music.
Outside of missing at the top, the only other thing that bothers me is they seemingly miss very low too. While I may just be out of touch, I don’t see many currently trending artists at the bottom (and none of the garage rock/metal/punk kind); it appears as if they instead took the easy route and brought in djs/singer songwriters. (To be fair, this opinion would probably change as I listened to those acts. Already discovered Blank Range is enjoyable).

If the top 3 lines are as empty as these are, and down low is thin too, then I see no way to justify charging $300 + fees + camping charges. If this fest was on the order of ~$200 I'd be way more forgiving.

It's not as offensive as last year's lineup - but when you overlay this on what some of these acts would play even on a 3 day Lolla lineup - it's pretty shocking.

Yeah like I know Dua Lipa has blown up, but I don’t think she would get that kind of billing at Lolla.

It has gotten to the point where I cringe more when I see the Killers on a lineup than when I see the Chainsmokers. I don't understand how they can consistently topline these majors.

Lineup gets better the further down you go. I'd have a good time if I already had tickets, but that upper tier is so unfortunate.

Oh no I'm not arguing their draw at all, I just don't get how they of all bands are still this much of a draw off of a few hit singles that came out over a decade ago.

Bonnaroo was always the festival that I felt I could go in blind to and still have a fun time.

I don't think I know a single act in the bottom half of the lineup, but the top half is kinda interesting I guess.

I think Live Nation is now fine with this festival having smaller attendance since they own the farm and make up the lost revenue with their other southern festival Shaky Knees. I did a quick glance and there doesn’t seem to be any overlap between the lineups.

The important thing here is the Paramore train is still chug-chugging along.
I sure as hell ain't going to Roo again but I do think this is better than last year's.

Yeah this is a way more diverse and consistent lineup than last year. Last year had a top line and nothing else.

it's not as miserable in the middle as previous years but the top line is abysmal.
im actually impressed with some aspects (giving sturgill a sub spot, 2 bon iver sets, future, chic/nile, even sheryl lol)
but then it drops off halfway and i know almost no acts.

dang, bonnaroo is......kind of good. too bad they couldn't throw in just one u2-esque act with the top 3 to make it actually good.
sturgill, future, and 2 unique bon iver sets is *fire emoji*
2 unique bon iver sets has to mean a for emma set and a 22 a million set, right?
