SZA into Kendrick would be legit and doesn't feel too unreasonable

SZA into Kendrick would be legit and doesn't feel too unreasonable Is she playing fests this summer ? I think she's supposed to release a new album this year. She hasn't been announced for anything yet, maybe she'll do like Lolla/Osheaga/ACL or later festivals in the year. Just thinking about who would be cool to sub for him though no inside info or anything

I remember reading that her booking fee is absurdly high, to the point that they'd probably put her as a north end headliner but I could be wrong

Yeah on Inforoo the guy who books III Points said she was more expensive than Gorillaz and LCD Soundsystem, forgot about that. That would make sense too

I would assume her fee is so high because of her vocal issues so its like if im gonna do it your gonna pay me to do it where for other acts its just a stop on the tour

That would make a lot of sense, and if any chicago fest would ball out for her it feels like it would be lolla.

If Kdot is actually playing, I feel like we have 5-6/8 headliners figured out already.

Is Halsey big enough to headline this? Or maybe it's her instead of Lizzo

Is Halsey big enough to headline this? Probably since she was one of the highest billed subs last time she played

my hot take is the lack of MCR at coachella means they might not be playing any majors and are gonna do a full arena/shed tour with a bunch of other acts from that era, plus maybe riot fest and a few other 'punk' related fests ie Vegas Bowling
RATM * either Frank or Travis but probably not both * LDR or Halsey * KDOT * Lizzo * 1975 * DJ * DJ
looks like a lolla 2020 thing and is actually pretty dang good, all things considered

Not sure the 1975 headlines after that last album underperformed. I know they've got a new one coming, but their position should already be pretty locked. They strike me as more of a strong sub -- unless Lolla completely balls out on the top slots (i.e. the Rage, Pearl Jam, Kendrick scenario).

I hate that I know this but they just sold out united center last year But then struggled to sell out the Aragon on a Cumulus Media subsidized holiday show. It could probably go either way.

If they play they headline - though I’m not entirely convinced they’re playing this. I guess I wouldn’t be surprised either way.

You know he's not giving up the goods until you regale us with a tale of your afternoon in the Sheffield's beer garden. You should probably offer your favorite moments from the show as well. Thunderstruck? Hells Bells? Back In Black?

Yeah, biggest song never cracked the top 100 in the US and the album only went Gold in the UK (and failed to reach certification the US). It was a significant drop from their second album, which seemed to have them poised to really take off. Again, if they are a 5-8 headliner, I won't be shocked but I could just as easily see them subbing for someone like Billie Eilish who they have a similar fanbase to but is likely a more reliable draw.
