Isn't it significantly easier for an artist to just show up and play a festival? I'm not saying it's happening, but if they're willing to pony up the money I don't see any reason why Beyonce wouldn't play Lolla.

No, it was not. It was that they (specifically Eddie) prefer to play Wrigley for a number of reasons when playing Chicago. |

i guess we can agree to disagree. i dont think beyonce will be at lolla and beyonce's career seems to indicate why. unless she's decided to do festivals this year, not sure why she would play lolla as opposed to controlling her own show like she likes to control everything in her career. nothing about her career has made it seem like she'd prefer to do the easy thing and just show up.

there was 110% a year (2014 maybe?) where we kept speculating both Beyonce and PJ. we have officially become a part of that thing in The Endless where the cosmic terror just keeps making us repeat our worst moments over and over for eternity.

For the record I don't think Beyonce will be at Lolla - I just don't think she would be opposed to playing if they were/are willing to pay whatever her surely enormous booking fee is.

I get and mostly agree with AVB but also think that after declining ticket sales if they aren’t stupid they are going to have to do something to stick out to not go completely irrelevant and it’s prob not booking Pearl Jam but

Beyonce is a brand at this point, she's not doing a festival one off unless there's a much bigger moment she can create out of it. With Taylor Swift curating her own festival that weekend, I don't think Beyonce wants to look like a footnote in the media.
I am curious about Dua Lipa as a possible 5-8 headliner. She has a new album in April that's shaping up to be a big hit, currently doesn't have any US dates announced, and a break in European touring from June 20th - August 4th.
