Looking at my TK, I realized that I skipped Grace Potter to see Foster the People instead (Cosmo's daughter's choice). Kind of like Mookie taking his kids to see The Emoji Movie.

Anywho... I'm excited for this snippet from the YYYs. I missed the last 2 days of 2009. better half and I were at tool, because I thought that was a rare performance, not knowing they would end up playing a couple of times here since. also, back then, better half would agree to go see hard rock / metal bands without objection (now she frequently exercises a first right of refusal on all shows). how were we to know that yyys would take a hiatus until recently? |

being a retired metalhead, when I have to pick between 2 acts, I'll most usually choose the harder act, so tool over yyys was an easy, but retrospectively wrong decision.

They toured in 2013 and even though the Chicago stop was a radio show at Tinley they still technically came back sooner than Tool did. |

And of course, they played the Aragon in 2018 as well. There have been opportunities to see YYYs in Chicago since Lolla, and before this year's P4K got cancelled.
