Only took me 2 minutes to get through security, which might be a record for O’Hare
Also that Brian Eno album is pretty good!

I used to be able to make it from the CTA to my usual Southwest gate at Midway in about 11 minutes flat back when I was flying back and forth from KC on the weekends. Good ol' days.

I think the longest I've ever waited in the non-precheck line at MCI is 5 minutes

I'll finally get to do pre-check for the first time next month. Should be exciting.
And of course the airport that I use almost the most for work (Harrisburg) has zero wait either way, so the pre-check doesn't pay off there. Although I might fly to Philly instead this time.

I think the longest I've ever waited in the non-precheck line at MCI is 5 minutes Last time I was going through security at MCI a non precheck person was trying to go through the precheck line as I was walking up. Security pointed him towards the non precheck line, which also had no one waiting in it.

My vote for worst airport in America is Newark, although they are slightly less worse since they unveiled the new United terminal.

do any boarders have/use clear? pros/cons? I’ve considered it but I’m ok talking to a human vs having my facial recognition data on file at every airport

LaGuardia is probably my least favorite airport. A lot of that has to do with the construction but it also seems like that's been going on forever. The other two NYC airports really suck too.
I also hate LAX a lot. Once you get in it's not that bad but the circle to pick up/drop off is ridiculous. Last week there, it took me over an hour between dropping off my rental car and getting dropped off on the bus pre-security, because of how much of a traffic mess it is around there. It also takes forever to get to any part of the city you want to go to from LAX
Portland seemed like a really cool airport. The smaller airports around LA (Ontario and John Wayne) are nice. I never have a problem with Bush in Houston and I fly that the most. The Phoenix airport fucking sucks. O'Hare is ok.

do any boarders have/use clear? pros/cons? Honestly I've thought about it, but at the majority of airports precheck is usually more than quick enough for me and not every airport has clear anyway

I guess while the topic is at hand, it has always bothered me that MCI is extremely commonly referred to as KCI (even on highway signs, etc.)
Why on earth refer to the airport as a different call sign? I could maybe part-way understand if signage all read "Kansas City Int'l Airport" or something but calling it KCI when its called MCI is a peeve of mine for sure.

Worst for me is a tossup between LaGuardia and LAX. Though I really haven't enjoyed going through Dulles at all the few times I've done that.
Favorite is hands-down Indianapolis. That airport is insanely quick to get through security, pretty good amenities, super clean, just in general a nice place. Favorite major airport is DFW. I usually connect there when I'm going back to Australia and even though my connecting gate is normally at the other end of the airport, that figure-8 configuration with the train going around the outside means it never takes longer than 10, MAYBE 15 minutes to get there.

Least favorite airport is LaGuardia, although the Centurion lounge somewhat mitigates the terrible construction and lack of good food/booze options in the American terminal.
I like the SF airport and Orange County.
Best airport for weird departure locations is Vancouver. (Or Seattle). All the weirdo BC towns like Penticton, Chilliwack, Kelowna and Kamloops. I’ve been to Penticton and do not recommend it.
