Gonna fire up Candyman now.
Drinking a beer from Nightmare Brewing Co called Drawn and Quartered. I doubt anyone in this movie is drawn and quartered, but still appropriate.

3. C.H.U.D.
Honestly? Wanted this to be crazier. It does feature John Goodman though as "Diner Cop #2" so that was pretty funny.

Almost fired up C.H.U.D. tonight but I think I'm gonna go with the sequel as I've never seen it.

Last 10 minutes of Candyman are bonkers. Loved it. Also the art aspect was great.
Honestly didn't feel all that tense watching it. It was a good movie, though.

Fun fact!
"Eddie Murphy was the original choice for the role of Candyman, but the filmmakers could not afford him."

6.Chopping MallI feel like this is what people think robocop is and the first 5 minutes feel that way but than its ambitions clearly dwindle. There was some actual care put into its campiness and the performances were pretty good for what it was. Some good gore and nudity good fun see why its a classic dont got much else to say there was no castle freak.

3. Deep Red
Alternates between mystery-solving it can't even pretend to care about and the greatest shit ever

7. Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama
This was so good. Perfect double feature with chopping mall. Basically all you could want from a movie where an imp tortures college kids in a bowling alley. If it was like 10% more comitted to the kills it would be an all time classic but still sick. Also has this sweet weird ramones rip off track

4. DollsI was waiting for this to take a more sinister turn but it keeps the Dolls beholden to their weird code. Still, fun throughout and at 77 minutes it's hard to complain.

A quick PSA to anyone holding out on watching The Witch (or anything else from this week)...
I am planning on cycling the content tomorrow evening. Feel free to grab what you'd like before ~5pm tomorrow!
Normally I'm going to do this on Sundays but I've got a bunch of family stuff going on this Sunday, so Saturday it is.

Chopping Mall kinda sucks b/c it's the little tamer than what the movie poster promises. It's just robots run amok.
Points for making a dude's head explode, though.

04. Basket Case (1982; Frank Henenlotter) Well this film just doesn't stop, at all, does it. I was definitely deeply unnerved the first time they showed the face.

3. The Innkeepers This was ok? I had high hopes because House of the Devil is one of my favorite recentish horror movies. This kind of was all over the place and the slow burn never really paid off.

Speaking of Sara Paxton, some of you might be interested in Shark Night. Be warned, though: it is terrible, and not - IMO - an enjoyable fun way.

Listening to modern horror/action directors talk about the expense of squibs and shit makes me a little more forgiving of tame violence in movies like this especially when the performances and robots are sick

Does this mean Basket Case is going away? It do, but I will likely have enough space in there to keep one holdover from this week, so I can plan on leaving that in there since its the Movie of the Week.

2. People Under the StairsGotta say, the characters make several poor choices in this one!! Yeah, this really is the overriding takeaway here.

Torn on what to watch tonight - I could stay in and watch Pulse (I'm out of beer), or go to a local screening of the '88 remake of The Blob (there will be beer).
Thoughts?
