11. The Autopsy of Jane DoeGets off to a great start, but can't sustain the suspense at all once it moves away from the forensics. Also kinda weird to throw eyeliner on her for the poster!

One of my favorites. Happy to see this available on Netflix.

10. JokerParts of this were good and parts of this were bad. The script sucks and theres only so much performances and cinematography and score and the rest of that can do to get over that. It's annoying too because the elements of a good movie are in there somewhere and the effective parts are good enough. All of the discourse about this movie has been so moronic that is was kind of astonishing that it was just fine. I definitely might've elevated it from "fine" to "ok" if the Zazie Beetz twist and the fucking joker protest bruce wayne origin bullshit wasn't so grabage in conclusion, if you want to see something really twisted theres a castle in italiy that might have a freakish surprise for you. and that surprise is a castle freak.

I saw that tonight too and agree with most of your points. Don't feel like counting it for this club even though I guess it qualifies as much as some other stuff I've counted

I was a little on the fence about it being a horror movie but everything after the letter reveal until the last like 2 minutes diverges from the Taxi Driver/King of Comedy stuff and moves into serial killer horror movie so I think it definitely counts.

05. Class of 1984 (1982)
Amazon video app on the ps4 said this was horror but its more "thriller." Pretty absurd exploitation film (as they should be) and one the best/worst theme songs by Alice Cooper ever.
Early Michael J. Fox too, pre-Family Ties.

Just a heads up, I put The Mummy* in the thing instead of The Mummy’s Tomb - had a hard time getting that one.
Still out with family in Denver but may squeeze in a movie tonight? We’re seeing Rocky Horror tonight as well but Im not counting it.
Hope everyone can get around to The Blob this week!
*not the brendan fraser one

It helps that most of these are sub two hours. On a rainy Saturday like this week it’s pretty easy to plop down, curl up with a drink or two and watch some movies.
That being said my mother in law was in town so we didn’t get to any horror movies this weekend. Love to start the month extremely behind lol

4. House - This was ok and the monsters were pretty cool. Probably never need to see it again tho. 5. Urban legend - I had never seen this and it came off the Scream late 90s success. It was horrible and took any interesting ideas and just ruined them.

I was hoping I'd have more of a chance to participate this year, but I don't think it's gonna happen except for our flights in a couple of weeks. The lady doesn't do horror movies so that makes it kinda tough.

10. I'm Just Fucking With You (2019; Adam Mason)
A Hulu original and boy does it show - but I gotta admit, it got a lot better as it went on. It also helped to be fairly redacted for this.

Just updated the drive, I think I fucked up the upload before. Anyone can let me know if there's issues.
I can see that Tremors isn't in there, I'll work on that.

11. Hell House LLCThese characters had really shaky unclear motives even for a found footage direct to dvd horror movie but its scary as shit. Legitimately tense. rules v much.

06. Ticks (1993)
Seth Green, a bunch of white inner city people, Carlton from Fresh Prince, Clint Howard, and some extras from Deliverance fight off an army of ticks the size of your fist. Howard is a goddamn national treasure. great practical effects, reminiscent of the later Nightmare films.
The ticks are this massive bc pot farmers use herbal steroids to grow bigger plants and it ends up genetically altering them and they multiply.
The last 15 minutes are surprisingly top notch for a film with such a low budget. I recommend.

07. Crawl (2019)
Fairly entertaining survival/horror flick. I get a bit tired of the concept that predators like alligators and sharks are so desperate for skinny white girl meat that nothing, not even getting stabbed in the eye, could deter them from it.
But I loved the concept and set. Some very creative scenarios that made for some intense scenes. Enjoyed it.

6. Society - This was good! It doesn't make a ton of sense but it was fun to watch.
7. Joker - The stuff that ties it into Batman universe was dumb. Could have been fantastic instead it was just fine.
8. Scream 3 - This is so bad. I hadn't seen it in like 10 years and I will probably never watch it again.

Finally snapping back to reality today now that I'm home - going to try to sneak in American Werewolf in London this afternoon, then possibly either seeing Nosferatu tonight or staying in and doing a double feature of Night of the Lepus and Tarantula to catch up.
Everyone should watch Night of the Lepus, its about gigantic killer rabbits invading a town. I've never seen it but i assume it is 10/10

We started it and while many websites assured us there was no animal cruelty the rabbits seem extremely real life distressed which was a little offputting. Might give it another go sometime
