I will not be attending this but, since the flights/hotels were already booked, my partner and I will be celebrating our anniversary by eating a gratuitous amount of food at a corny steakhouse on RF Saturday. If anyone wants to drink Sunday night post-fest hit me upppp

I made up my mind not to go to this but now having second (third? fourth?) thoughts. My biggest concern is the variant especially with an 8yo at home. Am I being overly paranoid?

They are now saying the odds of a breakthrough case in Chicago are around 1 in 10,000. Idk how attending an outdoor festival factors into that, but I would think you could keep it on the lower risk side by staying outside of the crowds and wearing a mask. That said I don't have a vulnerable child at home so don't listen to me! |

I am in a similar situation. Mine are 5 and 8. I haven't committed to anything but I will feel reasonably comfortable about going knowing that masking is required on planes and that the fest is outdoors with ample opportunities to move around (unlike a seated amphitheater). I will choose to wear a mask when I'm close to other folks (even outside) and I will avoid indoor spaces (despite REALLY wanting to see a Mr Bungle club show again). There is definitely a risk that is increasing as the case counts rise. Unfortunately the reward is dwindling with all of the cancellations. If the schedule means me missing many more of my top draws, I'm going to have to bow out. |

I truly appreciate everyone’s feedback. But I think at this point I still feel it isn’t worth the (probably small) risk. Really bummed because I’m sure it will be a good time and I’d like the opportunity to meet some of you. Maybe another time. Hope you all have a blast. If anyone is still looking for a Fri or Sat pass on the very very cheap HMU.

I looked at the recent FLips setlists and I'm feeling a bit more excited about the prospect of seeing them again. The newest album is more listenable than a lot of "music" they've put out the past decade.

riot fest should just own it some year and not release a schedule at all.
when i went to green man fest, they did not release a schedule except in the festival programme book which was like ₤10. no way was i spending ₤10 for a schedule.
