Anyone have any recs on a desk chair? Might as well take advantage of this Amazon thing.

How about solar powered Christmas lights for outdoors? Yes I know Amazon and its reviews exist.

Aren't they the same thing?

Duvets have interchangeable covers. I think that's the difference.

I mean you can put a duvet cover on a comforter. No one's gonna stop you.

I feel like duvet covers are not that hard to put on. I like to change it up throughout the year with lighter/heavier duvets and different covers for each season so #teamduvet I guess
I will say I looooooove my linen sheets/duvet cover, game changer if you sleep hot.

We've found it be kind of a pain in the ass and have barely used it in the past couple years.

We just started giving the dog a separate blanket lol
I don't know, maybe it's just the type we have, but it sounded like a great idea and hasn't really panned out.

I'm a duvet guy. Once you figure out the tricks they're really not hard to put on.

How about solar powered Christmas lights for outdoors? Yes I know Amazon and its reviews exist. Team duvet. Also with the solar power xmas lights, just keep in mind you're going to need to make sure the charging panel can face south without much obstruction, and you're only going to get a few good solid hours of charging during the winter. We've gotten those little driveway light type things before, they're neat for a while, but those batteries wear out fast after a while and don't have much time to charge in the winter.

i am on the duvet team because i find them easier to clean and more versatile. plus, my partner and i use separate bedding; duvets make more sense for that.

My partner got me a duvet last year and I had no idea how badly I needed it until I got it. Changing the cover is a pain in the ass still but I swear it’s helping me sleep better

How about solar powered Christmas lights for outdoors? Yes I know Amazon and its reviews exist. Big no on this unless the person getting the gift specifically asked for them. They sound great in principle, but just about anything solar powered and winter related is going to be disappointing. Anyone that wants driveway lights, I'd volunteer to run a low voltage line before I bought them solar.

In early October we ordered new dining chairs and a bench from West elm. We'd been putting it off for a while but we decided to host Thanksgiving so pulled the trigger.
The bench and its cushion came within two weeks or so. They said the chairs would be delivered Nov 2 at the latest, but weren't. I kept harassing them and...they got here the day after Thanksgiving.

Best Buy had a good sale on an upright freezer for black Friday and jumped on it
Had a vacuum sealer from a while back and gotten real into buying food in bulk, portioning, sealing, and freezing. Saves a lot of money and grocery store trips

I too love my chest freezer. I make several gallons of chicken stock at once and it’s great to have a place for it all

We specifically went with the upright because we were worried things would get buried and forgotten in the chest. It was a little more expensive but hoping that'll be worth it
technically it can convert to a fridge too but I don't see us needing to use that. Freezer space is more needed than fridge space
