Was just at Ace over the weekend. Purchased a toilet seat, britta pitcher and filter, new nozzle for our garden hose, bird seed and a roll of Reeds sour cherry candies. A+ - would recommend.

idk - doesn't everyone understand an A plus minus? Or, is it based on the bond rating scale where an A+ is better than an A, but less than a AA- or a AAA? (I just wanted to let folks know that I like Ace Hardware...)

I did not purchase it at Ace (Menards), but I got a new pole saw to chop down all the annoying weed-tree things that pop up around my house, so that will be my excitement for this weekend.

more expensive than what we usually get, but we started using filtrete 1900 air filters last year - they have a merv 13 rating and that apparently helps trapping virus particles.
oh while you're at ace, can you get me some of those square cinnamon lollipops at the front checkout lane? thanks!

I’m trying to fix a door that phantom opens by itself when the other door near it closes? Google says to take out the hinge pin and bend it a bit, but I can’t get the pin out. Anything I can grab at Ace for this?

Do you tap the pin straight ahead or at an upward angle? you should be able to tap it straight out but you are going to really have to whack it. you might try spraying the hinge(s) with wd-40 and working it in, then trying to tap after its been greased a lil. not sure if the grease would make it through the hinge and help the pin but worth a shot. the door may also be sitting crooked on the hinge, maybe having someone gently apply pressure to the door in different ways to alleviate pressure on the pin would help

I def wasn't hitting it as hard as I could last night, given that it was 9:00pm lol - thanks!

I sprayed them with some WD40 and hammered under the pin with a small Philips-head. And it actually worked! I got the pins out and, one by one, bent them and put them back.... and the door is still messed up. Oh well - I gave it a shot. Calling the super now to take a look at the door.
