Someone who moved out of my building received a package a few weeks ago and it's just been sitting there. I asked the landlord and he didn't leave a forwarding address (?) The package appears to be a record from Fire Talk (maybe the new Dehd?)

Since it has been a few weeks I'd say you're good to take it. He clearly isn't coming back for it and there's no way for you to get it to him anyway.

I'm inclined to keep it. The label got their money and whoever moved out doesn't seem to care. If you had any idea who the person was maybe I'd make an effort to try and find them, but if not, I don't think there's any harm in it.

this happened in my building a while ago. the neighbors only moved to rogers park, so they came back like a month later to pick up packages that'd arrived in the meantime.

I vote RTS for reasons others have mentioned. It's likely nothing would come of it if you (hypothetically) kept it. But if you are like me and prone to paranoia and guilt it's probably not worth the risk.

I'd send it back. Generally I think karma is BS but I'd feel pretty weird about keeping someone else's stuff if I could easily just drop it off at a post office and let them know the person doesn't live at that address anymore.
