Song is literally called "Solar Power" so I shouldn't be surprised, but I LOVE how sunny this song sounds. Inject this Sheryl Crow-core directly into my veins please.

It’s the worst of her 3 lead singles but the other two are hard to top

The direction is fine, always down upbeat happy vibes. I just don't think the song comes close to any single off Melodrama or most of the songs for that matter. That album is hard to top though. My expectations were too high.

I think how this song contextualizes itself in the album will mean a lot. I think I love it as the comeback happy song after a breakup album if it's kind of an outlier in it's sound, but I also hope a lot of the rest of the album doesn't sound like it.
Overall I dig it. I get Lana Del Rey mixed with Primal Scream vibes which is a sentence I thought I'd never say.
