That's 2 votes for "good" and 1 vote for "not good" if you're keeping score at home.

of Montreal - I Feel Safe With You, Trash
From Kevin Barnes' Patreon:
I have exciting newsssss! Between April-November I created a 20 song double LP entitled "I Feel Safe With You, Trash". The original plan was to release it on Polyvinyl in the summer of 2021 and then go out on tour to support it in August, but seeing as covid continues to rage on and touring is still off the table, I've decided to self release the album on my label Sybaritic Peer in March!
I can't tell you how much of a life saver you guys are for me. Without touring revenue I'd be f'd right now if it wasn't for your amazing support! Beyond the financial stuff you've also kept me feeling motivated and appreciated and loved during this super difficult and depressing time and, to show my gratitude for all you've done for me, I'm going to make the new album free for the oM Patreon Family and give you all early access:-)
I'm going to release it on our Patreon page in two installments. Part 1 will come out early January and Part 2 in early February. I can't wait to share it with you all! The album was like my pandemic therapist and I sunk all of my anxieties, pain, madness and joy into it. It's a very funky trauma album;-)
I hope you all have a fun/safe New Years Eve!

as much as i love Ghosteen, i feel like people still need more time with it. cool to see him still making more music but hopefully it's a bit of a left turn -- allegedly Push the Sky Away, Skeleton Tree, and Ghosteen were a part of a trilogy, so that might be the case.

yeah honestly NCATBS might be another good listening project thread if you're only familiar with the last 3 albums. almost everything before those albums sounds uhhh nothing like that.

I have some blind spots on his discography, mostly his 80s and 90s work, but I love Murder Ballads the most. I also defend DLD as being one of his most fun records.

I haven't paid enough attention to old Nick Cave too, so I'd be in.
I did listen to Murder Ballads back in the day and really did not like that.

I am cautiously optimistic if it's anything like the snippets that have been shared but I already know it's almost certainly not gonna be as good as NFR

There have been reports of that and a full length with Ghostface forever. Believe it when I see it, etc.
