Love DeRozan and glad he got paid, but I don't love this deal. He's obviously better than Thad Young but honestly not by a ton, and giving up a 1st too in order to overpay him is a moderate bummer. I think I'd be a bigger fan if we already didn't have Vucevic.
I think we'll score a ton of points, win around 45 games, and maybe win a playoff series. Props to AK and Eversley for such a quick turnaround from some super depressing teams. But it's just hard for me to get super excited about this once you zoom out and look at this roster as basically the final product of a rebuild. We essentially wasted four years in order to assemble a roster that isn't better than what it would have been if we just built around Jimmy.

I think the Bulls still have a couple of moves left. I don't see them going with Lauri on the final roster, and Coby White's days appear numbered.

i don't really get that tho
this team is fun, will be fun to watch, and the bulls will probably have a playoff series which we can all enjoy
only one team can win a championship every year and setting yourself up with that mindset just leads to dissapointment

I'm glad the Sixers didn't sell Simmons for peanuts but I'm getting nervous about training camp and the start of the season with the whole ordeal looming. Seems like some stuff could boil over.
