Blinding Lights is one of the biggest songs of the past 10? 20? years. It’s really stupid he didn’t get nominated for anything. Blinding Lights is great. In Your Eyes is okay. The rest of the album, though? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Even my students thought it was bad, and they like lots of terrible crap. |

He's good. I absolutely loved The Trilogy, I think he's been kind of a singles artist since but he's had some damn good singles.
I saw him touring Trilogy actually and I thought that show was just ok. Instead of an opener he had some not very great DJ just playing random songs without any real mixing for an hour and that was kind of annoying and he only played about 60 minutes, there were multiple songs I wanted to hear he didn't play. That being said, I looked this show up to remember when it was (2012) and found out he cancelled his show the next day due to a medical issue so maybe I just got a bad show. I'd actually like to see him again now that I imagine he has way bigger production and some of those hits would be fun live

I saw The Weeknd briefly twice at Lolla. I'm totally indifferent. This most likely due to how I compare The Weeknd to Frank Ocean who was much, much better at Lolla.
