When it's a huge act like Metallica or GD how hard are those to get into? Like complete luck or doable if you're paying attention? I got LCD and Arcade Fire tickets easily, but I didn't get Foos in 2017 Yeah the headliner ones are extremely tough, but most of us have gotten in for LCD, AF, and Vampire Weekend |

I think Meet Me @ the Altar might be the first I've heard of a band on the bottom line of a Lolla lineup in the 4-day era.
They were a lot of fun at Riot Fest last year.

Wondering what the Metro shows will be? Metallica again? Charli? Green Day? Billy Strings? When it's a huge act like Metallica or GD how hard are those to get into? Like complete luck or doable if you're paying attention? i'd say 80% luck, 20% being very attentive. i think shows of that caliber are on sale week-of and the actual number of tickets for sale is lower than a normal show because the guest lists are enormous. |

You might be surprised how many youths are at his shows. He's friends with Post Malone, did a song with RMR, def out of place on this lineup but maybe he'll throw in a Metallica cover I got to talking to some couple at Innings Fest that was the type of couple that flew across the country to see (board certified boring live band) Tame Impala at a festival and I mentioned Billy (who was playing the fest) and turns out they had caught him at some other fest and were now fans and that partly encouraged them to go too, which is not what I expected to hear. I think he'll win over some passerbys too absolutely shocking that a 40 year old couple who flew across the country to a minor league baseball festival would like generic party bluegrass. |

If they're still trying to hold wristbands until closer to the fest but actually have them arrive before the fest they may not trust USPS to function with that level of precision. I know in my line of work I trust as little to USPS as I possibly can. Just as likely this festival is greedy too so who knows. In terms of other quality of life downgrades, I've heard more space is going to be sequestered for premium passes? Namely maybe the shaded portions south of the fountain where the beer tent is rn? Can't remember where I saw it but maybe someone else has a better idea |

Got through on a desktop computer at work while trying to get it to load on my phone...
It kept taking me back to the shipping section after I selected my payment type so the tickets timed out right as it finally loaded on my phone so I doubt I'm in the first 1000 for the PayPal credit

I actually do not hate this lineup, they actually made an effort in the lower lines of the lineup for once. I'll still volunteer for it and get in free, not paying for this how do the teenagers in your life like it? I have a teenager who slept through Jeff Tweedy at Kidzapalooza while in a stroller for his first Lolla. I showed him this year's lineup and he thought it was sick and asked if we were going. The only thing more annoying at this fest than hyperactive suburban teenagers are the washed dads who bring them. Can't wait to be that guy. Might even dust off my Jason Newsted-era Summer Sanitarium shirt. Hope everyone is well. God bless. |

I was starting to think I would never return to this fest, but MPH and I are likely in for the Metallica day. The undercard is strong enough for my tastes that I'm confident I'll be able to make a full day out of it.

Neither of those things would surprise me. Sending out wristbands later makes it harder for scalpers and lets them funnel the resale market through their portal (which has a price floor and obviously gives them a cut in fees).
And GA+ supposedly sold out quickly last year (I still don't get the appeal at that price point), so they may want to expand the footprint to offer more of those passes.
