it makes perfect sense
harden is pissed and would be unbelievable in a pnr with embiid, simmons would thrive as a defensive playmaker next to kd and you could run insane small ball lineups

Former Rockets CEO Tad Brown is also now the CEO of the 76ers and him and Harden are close and Harden has called him a father figure before Also Harden can literally bolt for nothing in the off-season if he wants to and there's even more leverage for the Nets to believe him threatening that since Portland just opened up enough money to offer a max this off-season Not that he'd go to Portland but it definitely creates extra leverage that there's an option for him |

I'm annoyed by the lack of trades so far today yesterday was way more exciting
Pacers set themselves up very well. New Orleans could be a lot of fun if Zion ever comes back and cares. The Kings are a dumpster fire franchise

I like this trade more for the Nets than I do for the Sixers. Simmons fits so perfectly with KD and Kyrie and fills an enormous need. Seth Curry will help them a ton too.
Sixers basically need to win the title this year, which they very well might do. Wouldn't love the idea of giving Harden 250 mil with his career/body trajectory. Curious to see what they do with Tobias Harris now.

Yeah The Nets got the better of this deal. Curry, Drummond and two first round draft picks. Plus Harden had no intention of staying in Brooklyn past this season. Though it's a good deal for both teams.
