nothing beats 2013 (i started going in 2011) but other than that this is probably my favorite one since i started going. aaaaaaaand i'm only going one day  |

2009 and 2010 were easily the best for me.
I think the blue stage in 2010 went something like
Cave - Best Coast - Local Natives - Surfer Blood - Neon Indian - Washed Out - Sleigh Bells
I only had to leave the stage once to go see St. Vincent

I like 2008 a lot. Mid day Fleet Foxes (plus a free Millenium park thursday pre-show) and VW sets, Rae + Ghost -> Bon Iver -> Cut Copy on the blue stage on Sunday, AnCo and Spoon headlining during a good period of music for both bands

Thoughts: I'm hoping prices drop a bit tomorrow or Wednesday, too, cuz we don't have tickets yet either. Definitely in for Seun Kuti, but I don't know if I need to see Charles Bradley again since I just saw him this weekend. I did take Friday off (A+ move, btw), so I may be convinced to do whatever shenanigans afterward. I would ideally like to see Jamila Woods, but that's kinda Jukely dependent. Saturday would be the better brunch day for us. This might be the first year I/we don't to any aftershows. The top options are Tyondai Saturday/Colin Stetson Sunday at Constellation, but I'm not leaving the fest early either of those days. So excited to see y'all, and falco and genghis in particular cuz it's been too fucking long. yesssssss. can't wait to see you. i'll be at seun kuti/charles bradley, tho i could easily be convinced to go to jamila also. planning to do smart bar late. brunch either saturday or sunday, tho i guess i'd prefer sunday given that my schedule is lighter that day. |

One of my favorite 2008 memories: Trying to watch Bon Iver on the blue stage, and only hearing Spiritualized's kick drum the entire time
One of my favorite 2010 memories was watching the members of BSS dancing on stage to Robyn's set while they were waiting to follow her up
