Lions are playing their first primetime game since Week 2 of 2019 next week. What a country. Also there's no earthly reason for Justin Fields to play next week right? I know he wants that record but that O-Line will certainly kill him since the Vikings still have something to play for. Because of the flex to primetime, the Lions will know by gametime if they are playing for anything, since their playoff chances hinge on the Seahawks losing to the Rams. Either way, they can spoil the Packers' playoff chances, which is incentive enough to try to win, I suppose.

Jags-Titans is for the AFC South but was (smartly) regulated to Saturday before the season started

Horrible scene tonight. Really hope Hamlin pulls through this. Last I've seen he has a pulse but isn't breathing on his own.
This year I've watched less football than I have in probably 15 years and I don't regret it at all.

How's everyone's leagues handling their money situation and payouts? We don't do Week 18 in my league and as commish I just put my foot down and said the games are over and here is what everyone won. I am very tired of this.

I had Burrow and Gabe Davis still to play in my championship down by less than 20, so our solution is to score their points from this weekend and decide the winner that way. There's also a contingency in place just in case they don't play the full game for whatever reason.

I am very tired of this. Our third place matchup had Allen going for a team down 17. I offered the two teams the option to either split the third place pot or use this week's games to decide. They chose to split the pot.

We decided not to do anything, but I was up 63 points in our championship, and my opponent just had Knox remaining, so we felt safe to assume that I won.

In our league, one guy was up 17 with no players left to play, other just had Joe Mixon.
If I was commish I think I would have just given it to the guy up 17. Terrible situation but bad luck happens in fantasy all the time. They agreed though on naming them cochamps and splitting the pot of $1200 based on the final score ratio (which was roughly 54/46). Both teams in it agreed to the terms so as long as everyone's happy I suppose it's fine. It's a dynasty league we just started this year and so far the best and most competitive league I've ever been in so I don't want anything screwing up the harmony. And that's probably more fair than my method anyway
Sidenote dynasty has been way more fun than redraft so far to me

How's everyone's leagues handling their money situation and payouts? We don't do Week 18 in my league and as commish I just put my foot down and said the games are over and here is what everyone won. I am very tired of this. In the league where I’m commish, I offered the two teams in the championship to split the pot when it seems like the league might reschedule the game. The team that was up by 60+ agreed but the team that was down with Burrow, Mixon, Knox, and Diggs left to play didn’t respond. The alternative was to follow whatever happened when the NFL and then Yahoo! made their respective decisions. So the guy who was up 60 took home the full first place prize money. For my “big $” work league ($150 buy-in), after my buddy and I beat the two biggest jerks in the company in the semis, we agreed to split the 1st/2nd place cash before last week. After the MNF game was suspended, we decided to follow whatever the NFL/CBS decided. I was up by 30, he had Josh Allen in his lineup, and he probably would’ve won given how we score QBs, but I won the trophy. Glad we agreed to split the cash in advance.

Side note: Seems like we have nearly enough people to put together a fantasy football league next season, which would be fun.

This is such a fun problem to have. At no point, as stupid as it got, did I ever think the Bears were "#1 pick" bad. Incredible stuff.

Also, for some reason I had the game on for a bit this afternoon and learned Bears lost the rights to Terry Bradshaw to the Steelers on a coin flip in a New Orleans hotel ballroom. That's a weird timeline to think about

Justin Fields, the #1 pick, and the most cap space in the NFL. There’s definitely worse positions to be in.

They'd better trade down multiple times and get a shitload of picks.

Hopefully someone (the Colts?) just wants to make sure they get the QB of their choice. If the Bears get enough value, I’d be cool drafting in the 10-15 range with the top tier WRs still there.

Would have been great to have made the playoffs, but going into the season I never would have expected 9 wins. Hopefully they can build on this, take advantage of having two first round draft picks again and make a run at winning the division next year.

I'm all for the Bears getting a haul for the #1, but I feel like they'll regret dropping too far and missing out on Will Anderson.

Hypothetically, they could trade down to 4 and have either Anderson or Carter
