Yeah, not really arguing. Was more just an observation. I have listened to both and prefer Sunshine Rock. didn't think you were! just wanted to clarify my prediction. PB's not my favorite, I love Tomboy and tracks here and there off of other releases, but he never really jived with me. P4K's been brutal lately, as has the Needle Drop who I still frequent enough to know that he hates everything now. Ripped apart Maggie Rogers, Beirut, and Deerhunter in the span of a week.

i feel like everything ive seen has been surprisingly positive? given the change of course the album is. there's been features in gq, vulture, stereogum that are all super positive. i too figured pitchfork would give it in the mid-7 range, but given that their "6 albums to listen to today" featured it ahead of the ariana grande album i'm now thinking maybe more like an 8.1. seems like we might not get a reivew posted until like tuesday tho. yeah SG's big on it, kinda surprised they didn't give him the AOTW and opted for Pratt. He'll have his supporters no doubt, and I'm sure to die-hards its another stellar release. I'm more looking forward to the next Avey Tare, even tho he's typically been my least favorite of the bunch.

Panda Bear album is super boring and unmemorable. Easily his weakest solo album yet.

The Cass album didn’t get any best new tracks and it veers into jam band territory with one song having way too much tabla. No way it breaks into the 8s

I made the mistake of reading P4k’s review of Nirvana Unplugged and I swear the author is 15 years old or some shit.

Never seen this before, but in the Yeasayer tour dates article from today it says "(Pitchfork may earn a commission from purchases made through affiliate links on our site.)"
Kinda weird.
