Nah, they've given LCD BNM's for each song, and the National's only gotten 1. Totally friend-zoned. 0% chance the national doesnt get a bnm Pretty shocked that this was incorrect. 8.0

I guessed a range of 7.9-8.4. P4K is getting duller by the years with their scoring. Sadly tho, I agree with their score.

edit: also found the rating key from their old website.
10.0: Indispensable, classic
9.5-9.9: Spectacular
9.0-9.4: Amazing
8.5-8.9: Exceptional; will likely rank among writer's top ten albums of the year
8.0-8.4: Very good
7.5-7.9: Above average; enjoyable
7.0-7.4: Not brilliant, but nice enough
6.0-6.9: Has its moments, but isn't strong
5.0-5.9: Mediocre; not good, but not awful
4.0-4.9: Just below average; bad outweighs good by just a little bit
3.0-3.9: Definitely below average, but a few redeeming qualities
2.0-2.9: Heard worse, but still pretty bad
1.0-1.9: Awful; not a single pleasant track
0.0-0.9: Breaks new ground for terrible

how tf did they listen to that Wolf Parade album and think 6.7? Even 7.4 would be low. It most definitely is exactly an 8.7.

Turn out the lights will get an 8.6 While I feel that will be closer to my personal score, i'm predicting 8.0 Appointments did get a BNT and they've been talking her up quite a bit. I guess we'll see once they review the track she put out today.

at the risk of stabbing myself in the eyes, did Run the Jewels make their 2016 list? cause i'd assume otherwise they'd be in the top 10 this year.

Not a bad list Timbo but Tyler not being on there is a glaring omission

I think it depends on if her next track gets a BNT or not. These days 1 BNT doesn't equate to a BNM anymore, whereas it used to.

This review reminded me a lot of how IGN does reviews -- they give it nice remarks and then score it low citing BS reasons. I've come to believe that P4K reviewers don't pick the score. They write their review, and then Mark Richardson actually does the scoring and delegation of BNM, at least for high profile reviews such as Wolf Parade. Too often we've come across a solid review, but a terrible score that doesn't make sense.

I thought BNM was decided between the people at the office and the score is chosen by the writer.
