i saw the stray cats open for the pretenders and zz top in '08 and they were great. brian setzer is an underrated guitar player.

Danzig 30th Anniversary shows are coming in 2018.
The 25th Anniversary set was a Riot Fest headliner (or stage closer, at least) in 2013.

but danzig plays in some capacity every year so why not do do I and II this year after doing III last year

From what I remember, the 25th Anniversary shows were just basically greatest hits sets, with Doyle coming out for a couple of Misfits songs.
My interpretation is that it's 30 years of Danzig (the band), not Danzig (the album), so I would assume these shows would be similar. Either way, I think it's just another excuse for him to tour again after all of the bullshit retirement talk in recent years.

I just want to state for the record that Riot Fest and their people are the greatest.
I'm putting together a silent auction to benefit my kids' school, so for the hell of it, I tweeted to them asking if they'd want to donate tickets (as some of you saw). They just confirmed they're sending out two GA tickets!

MC5 tour lines up pretty well for this, doesn't it? Tour starts in September and wraps up at the end of October (in Detroit). Main concern would be when they hit up the European festivals (as was mentioned in the press release for the tour).

they actually used to do 2 day combo packs at discounted rates rather than buying 2 single days.
i have no idea if that's still the case because i cant remember the last time i paid for a rf ticket
