So regular backpacks are allowed at this thing?
Standard sized backpacks, bags, and purses -YES
CamelBak-style water bladder systems are allowed empty into the venue, however the water bladders themselves must be capable of being removed from the carrier and must be transparent enough to allow security to visually inspect the empty bladder.

I think the organizers may be doing the pat downs at the security line, so it may be best just to ask then

I don't have it in front of me right now, but I wouldn't think about showing up without a hard copy.

You can bring in a backpack as long as you have at least 3 of the following bands patches sewed/ironed on: Black Flag Motorhead Decendents Bad Religion Fugazi Operation Ivy The Clash Sex Pistols Ramones Dead Kennedys The Stooges I have no patches whatsoever on my backpack, but I have seen all of these bands live, except for operation ivy and the dead kennedys (jello was at one of the expos of the extemes, tho). |

schedule w only bands I've never seen before: At Chrome Industries on Thursday: Bombpops -> Direct Hit, then hopefully to Gingerman Tavern in time for Spitalfield. speedy ortiz-> blood people -> a little bit of fever 333 -> lagwagon -> a little bit of typesetter -> a little bit of flor -> aquabats -> k flay -> a little bit of hobo j-> sum 41 -> hopefully some of front bottoms -> finally get to see hellzapoppin (6 p.m.) -> young the giant. bombpops and direct hit ended later than I thought they would, so I just went home and didn't try to catch spitalfield in my neighborhood.
downtown at office; figure if I leave by 11:45 or so, I can catch speedy ortiz, even if the pink line is slow, and even if it takes a while to go through the line at the riot fest entrance.
probably will cut out the little bit of flor and the little bit of typesetter, and the little bit of hobo j and maybe the front bottoms, because I don't want to exhaust myself for the whole weekend during the first day.
