Yeah that's definitely the most interesting thing I've heard from him in awhile. He's never been a fantastic lyricist, but he can right solid hooks.

Wow, that song is all over the place. Certainly a different approach for Jack, I'm curious to hear the rest of the album now.

I guess we'll call this a 2018 release makes sense, but npr says the album is going to be called Boarding House Reach but doesn't have a release date

Musgraves describes her new LP as having a “trippy” twist, citing the Bee Gees, Sade, and Neil Young as influences.

For anyone interested, I made a playlist of upcoming 2018 releases:
Some of them are definite tracks on an upcoming album, some are just tracks that have dropped - like Wait in the Car by the Breeders - that have no definitive album associated (yet). Adding to it pretty regularly.

I think "most anticipated albums" lists should be limited to things that have been officially announced. Otherwise you just end up with Tool on them every year.

I'm not optimistic about the next Arctic Monkeys record, but I'd love to be surprised.
Jack White needs an editor like Judd Apatow does.

Also, milo had one of the better rap albums from last year, and his other project Scallops Hotel dropped a new album yesterday. It's now up on streaming services:

I'm not optimistic about the next Arctic Monkeys record, but I'd love to be surprised. Jack White needs an editor like Judd Apatow does. Same on AM. I loved the last album, but the sound they've been hammering at since Homme started producing has run it's course. Especially with him being kind of an omen lately. I'll still listen. For Jack White, I haven't liked anything since Icky Thump that much. His first solo record had some good songs but overall it was forgettable, and Lazaretto was... eh. Did you listen to the sampler track on Spotify? It's just a mesh of everything on the album and it actually makes me very hopeful.
