The em album is not good but nice guy/good guy is really fun and its at least thematic in its childishness. But the girl singing on it sounds like a more strident Gwen Stefani. I agree the new Em album has some good cuts. |

Melvins and Al Cisneros of Sleep and OM have recorded at least two tracks together. The band revealed that they will be releasing a two song 10-inch. The release appears to be called Sabbath, though they have not released the track list yet. The 10-inch will be out via Amphetamine Records sometime later this year

Also, Metric played "Now or Never Now" opening for SP and I thought it sounded pretty solid. "Dark Saturday" is still a little bit of a letdown for me though.

Re-listening and the Mike Campbell guitar is just so bizarre too. Obviously he's a great guitarist but southern rock guitar solos on these tunes make them immediately sound like cover songs. what a mess

The tone is also just way off on MC's guitar, plus Lindsey was the only one with any energy in the first place...the whole thing is just a mess.
Nobody even felt like tackling the guitar work at the end of Gypsy?
