Well, interesting list this year at least. Thanks for taking care of this once again tweet!

It was pretty obvious by list 6 that Big Thief was taking this thing and it wasn't going to be particularly close.

If you look at the point spreads for certain chunks of this list, there's not a lot of breathing room. This was easily the fastest I got everything plugged in (3rd times the charm!), and I'm pretty sure everything's accurate, but I've also been staring at a spreadsheet for the better part of the last 24 hours. Please let me know if it's not. Thank you to thebosma for being on the ball.

I'm pretty intrigued by SZA's running here. That album will still be eligible for next year's list assuming I'm running it and it's clearly going to be a high water mark for anything coming thru the pipeline music wise for next year (edit: I'd probably have it in the top ~40 this year but it's been out, what, a week?). I don't know how the rest of the blogs are gonna address it. I definitely don't think we made Black Messiah eligible in 2015. Dumb history in the making?

Spoon and Beach House have gotta be in The Board Dot Hall of Fame at this point with their pretty consistent placements across our lists over the last decade.

We put a Spanish language album in the top 20 and a country album in the top 10. I'm not sure if we've done either of those things before, but even if we have, it's kinda cool nonetheless.

There's a lot of good stuff here and I hope if you didn't vote or are one of those people who are like "what the fuck is new music nowadays" that this list gives you some new insight and something good to catch onto. And maybe consider voting in the songs list if that's your speed.

I'm gonna go eat a cheesesteak now cause I think I've earned that if nothing else.

Would be insane if the Zach Bryan album is the highest we've ever placed any country album but there's 12 people in this forum and 4 of them really like him so I guess that makes sense

I guess I'll get with Mookie and see what we can do about that songs wise- sounds like a Mod power thing and I don't have those believe it or not

It's weird how I think "They Want My Soul proved late period Spoon can still put out a great album" but now we're farther away from that album than that album was from when I first thought they fell off

I'm going to say we should keep the comments live.  I think that is usually part of the fun of the roll outs each year.
