I ordered these micro-down puffer pants yesterday. I bought a leopard print pair last year and wore them when volunteering at the school hug and drop line in the morning. Kids loved them and they kept my legs warm.

There's this great store in my neighborhood called Ford General. The guy who owns it is cool, as are the people who work there. The stuff they sell (mainly menswear) is nice and hard to find; however, a lot of it can be pretty expensive. Anyway, they're clearing out one of the brands that they carry and are discounting the stuff hardcore.

$405 a piece before taxes is kind of a hard sell.

$205 before taxes for both of them together, though? Come to my body.

my only pair of air jordans was red, and was either V or VII (I can't seem to find an exact pic of them on the web), and I wore them so much and for so many years that the plastic / rubber / whatever it was on the bottom of the shoe disintegrated after a decade and a half.

I haven't ever owned any Jordans, but my favorite has always been the V. That one always looks good to me.

I am 100% a Nike man and pretty much refuse to get anything else for lifestyle and active shoes, but my wife is fed up with me having the Pegasus as my daily walking shoe for as long as I can remember, says they're ugly/nerdy/what are those level shoes. She's obviously wrong but is trying to buy me a pair of Allbirds for our upcoming trip.

I'm going to humor her and at least look at them before almost assuredly returning them, but does anyone have any input as to whether the wool ones are too hot for the summer on the off chance I decide to keep them? Also looking at the canvas pacers but I'm not sure if those would be comfortable if I'm walking >5-10 miles a day for two weeks.

I just bought a pair of Allbirds because they’re probably the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. But I’m not feeling great about it. Also, Mrs. Doso is not pleased. But also I’m #old. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've always wanted a leather jacket, but they're a tough thing to pull off when you're both short and fat. That's not a problem for me anymore, though, and I found one that I liked and that fits beautifully and that was priced reasonably for the quality. My birthday is in a little less than two weeks, so I got it.
